As a family-owned company, it’s important to Simplot that we support employees as they build their own families. Paid Family Building Leave is available to eligible employees following the birth of a child or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption, foster care or any other qualifying legal guardianship situation.

Paid Family Building Leave begins on the date of the birth or placement of the child and is paid at 60% of your Basic Weekly Compensation, if eligible. Your leave must be taken in one continuous period and cannot be used intermittently.

• Primary caregiver — If you’re the birthing parent of a newborn child(ren), or the non-birthing parent of a newborn child(ren) taking on primary caregiving responsibilities from the birthing parent, or the primary caregiver to a child(ren) placed with you for adoption, foster, or legal guardianship, you will be eligible for 12 weeks of paid leave at 60% of your Basic Weekly Compensation.
• Secondary caregiver — If you’re the parent of a newborn child(ren) taking on secondary caregiving responsibilities, or the secondary caregiver to a child(ren) placed with you for adoption, foster, or legal guardianship, you will be eligible for two weeks of paid leave at 60% of your Basic Weekly Compensation.
